i’m writing a new bible
on the head of a pin
digging in the dirt
with a silver salmon shoehorn
delving deep divining ink in inklings
running rivulets that puddle up
in the sleeves of sheltered shirts--
bequeathing my bereavement
in explosive anecdotes
to silent steel stilettos
ripping up the open envelopes
and gaping at the news...
stuttering stacatto voce-
pianissimo flagrante!!

and still the sticky dripping down
along the arm onto the page
a snapshot of a riot
distilling chaos into ink
to paint a page of pictures of

the calm before the storm...

I am writing a new bible
on a grain of rice
harvesting
divining grain from chaff
church of adversarial
burning all before them
and leaving in their fiery wake
popcorn for the soul
to live to see
another golden dawn
three sevens, two dice
one theatre
and no fun
kill me??

not for amateurs
with librarybook spells
and hoary cliches
